Acceptance Term NI RFB N. 1888
From August 1, 2019, every Brazilian user who transact cryptocurrencies with Stratum HK must be aware of the obligations brought by Normative Instruction No. 1888 by the Department of Federal Revenue of Brazil (RFB).
Simply put, it must be noted that because Stratum is a Hong Kong company:
- Brazilian clients who carry out operations, even low operations but when summed exceed 30 thousand reais within the current month, must report to the RFB, even if Stratum is a foreign company;
- These operations and their values must be duly informed via the National Collection system on the e-cac portal;
- Data for the current month must be reported to RFB by the last day of the following month (example: August operations should be reported by the end of September);
- All transactions with cryptocurrencies must be reported: purchases, sales, exchange, temporary assignments (crypto loans), donations, etc .;
- The following data shall be provided for each transaction: exchange identification, date, type of transaction, cryptocurrencies used, quantity of each crypto up to the tenth decimal place, transaction value in Reais excluding any fees charged, and the value of fees if any.
